Bachelor of Arts in Education - Diversity in Language and Learning
Course descriptionThe Diversity in Language and Learning - Bilingual program prepares individuals to teach in a bilingual or English as a Second Language elementary school environment. Applicants are required to demonstrate Spanish proficiency at Intermediate Spanish II level prior to Block 3.
Bilingual teachers may:
Teach content in Spanish or Native American Language (Arizona certification)
Teach in self contained or resource classrooms
Teach students English as a second language within a bilingual setting
Teach children to value cultural diversity
Program Features:
Block coursework provides concentrated study and collegiality
Field experiences in schools with BLE programs
Institutional Recommendation for K-8 certification and BLE endorsement
