Bachelor of Arts in Russian

  • Course description Majors in Russian must complete ten courses (thirty credit hours) beyond the three-semester language requirement, including at least five courses taught by departmental faculty. Courses to be taken in residence at Notre Dame will normally include Advanced Russian I and II and must include three 3-credit courses on Russian literature and/or culture, two at the 30000 level and one at the 40000 level. With the permission of the Director of Undergraduate Studies, one course on a Russian subject in another discipline, such as anthropology, history, or political science, may be counted toward the Russian major.
