Bachelor of Science in Aviation Flight Operations

  • Course description The best pilots not only know their way around the cockpit, they're also well-rounded individuals. Our Aviation Flight Operations program combines general academic classes with professional pilot education while allowing you the flexibility for additional classes in aviation management, business management, or other fields. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to be a professional pilot, take a leadership role in a variety of flight operations fields, or continue your education in a masters degree program.

The key component of our Aviation Flight Operations program is the Professional Pilot Education Course. During this course, you'll take a series of required flight lessons along with their correlating classroom sessions. You'll master critical flying skills, gain aeronautical knowledge, and refine your judgment as a pilot through progressively challenging Line-Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) tasks and missions. These are conducted in a variety of instructional aircraft and advanced flight simulators giving you much needed versatility as a pilot.

At the end of the program, you'll be prepared to receive a FAA commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating. Toward the end of the program, you'll also have the option of focusing on multi-engine rating courses or preparation for a Flight Instructor Certificate.

Daniel Webster College holds Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Agency Certificate # LT8S306Q as an approved pilot school, and operates its flight instructional courses under Part 141 and Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. Students completing these courses will earn pilot certificates and ratings issued by the FAA, as noted.
