    CI/FDN/RE 3850 (3) Literacy, Technology and Instruction Reading
    FDN 3800 (3) Foundations of American Education English
    PSY 3000 (3) Educational Psychology
    C I 4900 (12) Student Teaching
    NOTE: To be admitted to the Teacher Education Program students must take and/or satisfy testing requirements for Reading, Writing and Math areas of the PRAXIS (PPST or CBT). The Area Exams are required for licensure. Only CI/SPE 2800 and PSY 3000 may be taken prior to formal admission into the College of Education.

    MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

    2.0 major GPA is required for graduation. Major GPA calculation will include all courses taken in the major department, plus any other courses under III. Minimum of 18 semester hours of courses taken to fulfill major requirements must be courses offered by Appalachian. All students who wish to enroll in courses taught in French on the level of 2000 or above must see an advisor in the department before enrolling.

    FRE 3080 (3) Advanced Grammar & Composition (Pre: FRE 2005, 2010)
    FRE 4565 (3) Advanced French Expression [CAP] (Pre: FRE 3080; Senior standing)
    CI/FL 3120 (6) Teaching Foreign Languages (minimum grade “C” required)
    *FRE 2005 and FRE 2010 should be taken during the same semester when possible.
