M.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing
Course descriptionSimon’s one-year Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in
Marketing offers students a compact, highly focused program to give them skills and
experience necessary to stand out in a variety of marketing positions. Graduates are likely to
assume a position related to one of three key areas: marketing research, sales management
or advertising.
Marketing Research and Academic Scholarship: The Center for Pricing
The Center for Pricing serves as a center of excellence for research and education in pricing
and encourages meaningful interaction between business executives, educators and
researchers in this high-demand field. Pricing is one of the most important, least understood
and most controversial decisions firms have to make. Doing it poorly is easy; doing it well is
a challenge. Not surprisingly, there is a growing, and a largely unmet demand, for talented
graduates who have the know-how and training in pricing techniques and strategies to
improve bottom-line profits.
Marketing Clubs
The Simon Marketing Association: Along with numerous networking events, the club
sponsors an annual Marketing Case Competition. Recent corporate sponsors have included
Fisher-Price Inc. and Heineken. Each year, the club hosts a marketing case competition.
The Simon Pricing Club: Pricing expertise is fast becoming a key demand from corporate
recruiters. The club is an arena to develop practical pricing skills beyond the classroom and
develop solid foundations for careers in the field. The club connects members with the
Professional Pricing Society.
