Description
The MS in Health Outcomes Research is a degree designed to provide the knowledge and unique skills necessary for evaluating economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes of medical interventions, with an emphasis on the evaluation of pharmaceutical products and services. The program emphasizes quantitative and analytical methods, assessment, and research in health outcomes. The degree provides fundamental courses in quantitative analysis and econometrics, as well as applied courses in health statistics, health policy, and pharmacoeconomic methods, building upon components within the existing Pharm.D. curriculum.

Successful graduates of this degree will complete an interdisciplinary field of study which will prepare them to be decision makers and informed consumers of health outcomes research. They will be able to assist in the development and supervision of research activities related to health outcomes research and pharmacoeconomics analyses. They will be able to assess the value of others' research in the field.
