    * Understand the importance of and the most useful techniques for setting and achieving goals.
    * Identify the right things to be doing and develop plans for doing them.
    * Explain what to delegate and how to delegate well.
    * Take control of things that can disrupt workplace productivity.

  • Course description Program Overview
    "Time is money," and lots of both get lost because of disorganization and disruption. In this session, participants will learn how to make the most of their time by getting a grip on their office space, organizing their workflow, learning how to use their planner effectively, and delegating some of their work to other people.
    The following outline highlights some of the course's key learning points. As part of your training program, we will modify content as needed to meet your business objectives. Upon request, we will provide you with a copy of the participant materials prior to the session(s).

    Course Outline
    Committing to Get Something Different: The Power of Change
    To begin, participants will use their pre-assignment to identify areas where they want to change their time-management approach.
    Understanding Yourself: Recognizing Where You Are
    Next, participants will discuss the left-brain and right-brain approaches to time management to determine which one they use most often.
    Setting Goals: Articulating Accountability
    During this segment, participants will learn how to set SMART goals to help them better manage their time.
    Planning Pointers: Choosing the Right Tools
    This section explores different planning tools, their uses, and the benefits and limitations of each.
    Establishing a Ritual: Making the Plan Stick
    In this portion of the program, participants will discuss how establishing rituals and routines can help them manage their time and become more productive.
    Earning Ds: Do, Dump, Delay, or Delegate
    Moving tasks is part of following a system. Here, participants will explore the four Ds: Do, Dump, Delay, or Delegate. They will also learn to take the STING out of feeling overwhelmed.
    Organizing Files and Workspaces: Putting Things in Their Place
    This portion of the program investigates ways to organize space and to manage paper and electronic files.

    At the program's conclusion, participants will have an understanding of basic time-management techniques: how to use a to-do list, set goals, stop procrastinating, and get organized.
