Course description
This exciting 4-year program begins with students engaged during the first four semesters in building a foundation of knowledge in science and humanities while being introduced to related health professional disciplines. The students begin their academic career on the Biddeford campus, which will allow them opportunities to enjoy a full undergraduate experience including clubs, seminars, sports, and intercollegiate activities.
The last four semesters are delivered on the Portland campus where students are immersed in nursing course work and clinical experiences. These educational opportunities emphasize holistic approaches to clinical judgment, health and human functioning, healing, care and therapeutics, person and environment, and health care resources. Nursing skill laboratories combined with human patient simulation and clinical experiences occur in a variety of hospitals and community-based settings.
